Amerikaner dominieren ersten Turniertag
Kopenhagen. Beim sehr gut dotierten Major-Turnier in Kopenhagen setzte sich am ersten Turniertag bei den Junioren ein Deutscher an die Spitze des Nachwuchsfeldes. Marvin Tetzel 
(Bild rechts) von den Tee-Timer Wolfenbüttel spielte eine 69er Runde (+2) und führt damit mit fünf Würfen vor dem Schweden David Swärd und mit sieben Vorsprung vor dessen Landsmann Anton Kappling.
In der Open dominieren erwartungsgemäß die Spieler aus Übersee. Auf den ersten zehn Plätzen, mit insgesamt 14 Spielern, befinden sich nach Runde eins gleich sieben US-Amerikaner. Es führt mit zwölf unter Par Will Schusterick aus Nashville. Er spielte sich mit 55 Würfen an die Spitze. Mit seinem PDGA-Rating in Höhe von 1044 führt Schusterick auch diese Statistik in Kopenhagen knapp an.
Platz zwei belegen wurfgleich (-10) der Amerikaner Paul McBeth aus Palm Harbor in Florida und der Finne Leo Piironen aus Nummela, die beide 57 Würfe benötigten. Auch dahinter bleibt es eng. Die Amerikaner David Feldberg und Dewan Owens sind mit 58 Würfen gemeinsame Vierte.
Der Weltmeister von 2009, Avery Jenkins aus den USA, der Vize-Europameister Karl Johan Nybo aus Dänemark, der sehr starke US-Amerikaner Nikko Locastro (PDGA-Rating 1040) und der Schwede Anders Swärd belegen gemeinsam mit acht unter Par (59 Würfe) Rang sechs. Gleich sechs Spieler belegen Rang zehn nach der ersten Runde. Mit dabei auch der deutsche Europameister Simon Lizotte, der wie die anderen Fünf auf dem 2631 Meter langen Parcours eine 60 (-7) spielte.
Der Führende in der EuroTour-Wertung und Sieger vom vergangegen Wochenende in Kokkedal, der Schwede Henrik Johanson spielte sechs über Par. Obwohl er häufiger im ersten Durchgang abwartend agierte, dürfte der Abstand zur Spitze jtzt schon deutlich zu groß sein, um noch vorn mitmischen zu können.
Die Platzierung der anderen Deutschen in der Open: Jerome Braun von den Hyzernauts spiele +1 und belegt Rang 44. Der Wolfenbüttteler Tobias Behrens von den Tee-Timmern ist mit vier über Par in der ersten Runde auf Platz 63 notiert. Rang 69 belegt mit + 6 Jens Erdmann aus Berlin. 83. ist Maik Groeneuer. Der Wolfenbütteler warf 82 Mal (+15).
Bei den Damen liegt die Amerikanerin Paige Pierce vorn, die es schaffte den Parcours Par zu spielen. Auf Rang zwei mit drei über Par in der ersten Runde liegt die beste Europäerin. Es ist die Schwedin Ragna Bygde, die Europameisterin von Colchester. Beste und einizige Deutsche im Feld ist mit +17 nach der ersten Runde auf Platz acht Christine Hellstern. Die Schweizerin Natalie Holloköi belegt mit acht über Par Rang vier.
In der vierten ausgetragenen Division, der Masters, führt der Schwede Tomas Ekstrom, der vier unter Par spielte. Platz zwei ging an seinen Landsmann Richard Kappling, der einen Wurf mehr benötigte. Dritte ist der Deutsche Jan Bäss. Er schaffte eine -2-Runde und konnte damit Greg Marter (-1) und den Schweden Peter Bygde auf Rang vier verdrängen. Der souveräne Kokkendal-Masters-Gewinner, der Göteborger Christer Köhler, spielte Par und belegt Platz sechs.
Auf Rang 14 mit +4 kam George Braun in Ziel. Frank Hellstern ist mit +11 auf Platz 29 und Martin Kunz mit +12 aus Rangg 33 platziert.
Der Österreicher Otfried Derschmidt benötigte 68 Würfe und rangiert auf Platz acht. Zwei Würfe mehr benötigte der Schweizer Martin Jenny auf Rang zwölf.
