Münster. Das Fachmagazin Discgolfen rief mit Unterstützung von Sport Mielke (Vechelde) zur Wahl des Discgolfers des Jahres auf. Gewählt werden konnte der Discgolfer und der Newcomer. Beide Sieger kommen aus Niedersachsen: Junioren-Europameister Marvin Tetzel und die Hannoveranerin Wiebke Becker siegten klar.
Unter den 224 abgegebenen Stimmen, die letzte Stimme wurde am Freitag online um 21:38:50 Uhr abgegeben, werden am heutigen Samstag beim GT-Turnier “Treffen in Telgte” die Gewinner gezogen. Ein Gripp, fünf Scheiben, zwei DVDs und fünf Jahresabos Discgolfen werden ausgelost.
Das Ergebnis der Wahl fiel eindeutig aus. 
Mit 36,07 Prozent aller abgegebenen, gültigen Stimmen wurde der Wolfenbütteler Marvin Tetzel gewählt. 79 Stimmen fielen auf den 18-Jährigen von den Tee-Timers Wolfenbüttel.
Platz zwei ging an den Deutschen Weltstar Simon Lizotte (DiscGolfer Münsterland) aus Bremen, der in diesem Jahr Vize-Europameister wurde und zwei Weitwuirf-Weltrekorde aufstellte. 66 Wähler votierten von den Ausnahme-Discgolfer. Auf Platz drei landete mit beachtlichen 37 Stimmen der Sieger der GermanTour 2014, Michael Stelzer vom WSCA in Söhnstetten. Platz vier ging an EM-Teilnehmerin Ann-Christin Kleimann, die 16 Stimmen erhielt. Auf die weiteren Nominierten und Vorgeschlagenen entfielen 21 Stimmen, die sich auf folgende Discgolfer verteilten: Jerome Braun, Dominik Stampfer, Matthias Koch, Wolfgang Kraus, Wiebke Becker, Tobias Behrens, Christine Hellstern, Kevin Konsorr, Andreas Runte und Nikolai Tsouloukidse.
Ähnlich eindeutig verlief das Votum bei der 
Wahl zum Discgolf Newcomer des Jahres 2014. Mit 33,33 Prozent der abgegebenen, gültigen Stimmen dieser Wahl siegte die Hannoveranerin Wiebke Becker, die von den 222 gültigen Stimmen jede Dritte (74) erhielt.
Platz zwei geht an den Wolfenbütteler Elias Güldenhaupt, der 30,18 Prozent (67 Stimmen) erhielt. Im Endspurt belegte Junior Markus Abrell mit 31 Stimmen (13,96 Prozent) den dritten Platz, den lange Zeit Junior Henrik Streit (23 Stimmen, 10,36 Prozent) inne hatte. Er muss mit Platz vier zufrieden sein.
Nordlicht Sascha Görtz aus Flensburg belegt mit 12 Stimmen und immerhin 5,41 Prozent den fünften Rang. Dahinter folgen mit zusammen 15 Stimmen Ralf Schlotterbeck, Jesse Hawkins, Sandra Mayer, Jens Cassel, Hartwig Henrich, Daniel Klein, Matthias Krebin, Maren Mossig, Gene Rüdiger und Christian Westphal.
