Schwede gewinnt nach Dutch Open auch in Kokkedal
Kokkedal. Der Karlebo Frisbee-Golf-Klub lud Anfang Mai zum dritten EuroTour-Turnier der Saison auf die herrliche Vereinsanlage direkt an der Autobahnabfahrt Kokkedal. Auf dem vor rund 20 Jahren aufgeschütteten Hügeln mit bis zu 20 Metern Höhenunterschied fanden sich 82 Discgolfer aus zehn Ländern, darunter auch der amerikanische Weltmeister von 2009, Avery Jenkins, ein. Aber selbst für ihn reichte es nur zu Platz zwei, weil der Schwede Henrik Johansen aus Onsala derzeit in einer bestechenden Form agiert und mit fünf Würfen (-20) Vorsprung nach den Dutch Open im Vormonat sein zweites EuroTour-Turnier in 2013 gewann. Aus Deutschland waren fünf Teilnehmer zum Turnier im Vorfeld des Kopenhagener Major-Turniers gereist. Allerdings wird von ihnen nur Europameister Simon Lizotte Kokkedal und Kopenhagen spielen. 25 Kilometer nördlich der dänischen Hauptstadt enttäuschte der Bremer, der nach einer schwachen Runde am Samstagnachmittag (+2) chancenlos war und am Ende mit Rang acht zufrieden sein musste. Seine Vereinskameradin Dana Jung von den DiscGolfern Münsterland hingegen bejubelte Platz vier, denn erstmals zog die Münsteranerin in ein Finale der EuroTour ein.
Beim Playersmeeting am Samstagmorgen hatte die Sonne noch nicht die Kraft, die durchgefrorenen Discgolfer, die teilweise in Zelten, Wohnmobilen oder Autos am Parcours übernachtet hatten, zu wärmen. Angesichts des wolkenlosen Himmels beklagten überrraschend viele, dass sie Handschuhe vergessen hätten. Ab 8.30 Uhr geworfen.
Die Favoriten starteten auf Bahn vier (der Weltmeister von 2009
Avery Jenkins, USA), Bahn sechs (Vize-Europameister
Karl Johan Nybo, Dänemark), Bahn zehn (Europameister
Simon Lizotte, Deutschland), Bahn 13 (Dutch Open-Sieger
Henrik Johanson, Schweden), Bahn acht (
Emil Dahlgren, Schweden) und Bahn sieben (
Arttu Sikanen, Finnland). Allen gemeinsam ist ein vierstelliges PDGA-Rating.
Bei den Frauen war klar, dass nur die beiden Schwedinnen Sofie Sandström, Siegerin der Dutch Open, und Linda Emanuelsson für Platz eins in Frage kamen. Die Favoritenrolle trug in der Masters Christer Köhler. Der Unternehmer aus Göteborg ging mit dem PDGA-Rating 1000 in den Wettbewerb. Bei den Grandmaster kamen hingegen gleich fünf Spieler für den Sieg in Frage.
