Sven Rippel trumpft auf
Viele Spieler im Pool A bei der SDGO mit Schwierigkeiten
Stockholm. 144 Spieler, super Gelände, Sonnenschein, zwei Pools mit je 72 Discgolfern, 27 Bahnen und eine Menge Preisgeld. Das sind die aktuellen Rahmenbedingungen bei der Stockholm Discgolf Open (SDGO) am 6. und 7. Juli im Järva Discgolf Park im Nordwesten Stockholms.
Im starken ersten Pool gingen um 8.30 neben den Amerikanern auch die drei deutschen Teilnehmer Europameister Simon Lizotte, Junioren-Europameister Sven Rippel und Kevin Konsorr auf die erste Runde über die Bahnen eins bis neun und 19 bis 27. Auch Österreich ist der Masters-Spieler Otfried Derschmidt (Graz) war am Start.
Er spielte mit dem aktuell weltbesten Discgolfer Richard Wysocki aus Fort Mill (USA), der übrigens als einziger der 72 Spieler im Pool A nach der Runde nicht Pause machte, sondern direkt zum Putten ging. In der ersten Runde hatte auch Wysocki, der eine 53er Runde (Platz zwei) spielte, Schwierigkeiten. Bei ihm klappt das Putten nicht wie gewohnt.
Nach der ersten Runde führt der Amerikaner Nathan Doss mit einer 52 das Feld in Stockholm an. Wie Wysocki spielte der Finne Juho Rantalaiho aus Turku eine 53. Vierter im Leadingflight des Nachmittags ist Stockholmer Jimmie Nilsson. Der Lokalmatador spielte eine 55.
Im zweiten Flight werden Devan Owens (55 / USA), Arttu Sikanen (56 / Finnland), Avery Jenkins (56 / USA) und David Feldberg (56 / USA) gehen.
Bester Deutscher nach der ersten Runde ist Sven Rippel auf Platz 14, der mit 2400 Kronen (rund 300 Euro) dotiert ist. Der Bergkamener im Trikot der Discgolfer Münsterland trumpfte auf und legte eine 58er Runde hin. Lange Zeit führte Rippel im Flight vor David Feldberg, der ihm erst auf den letzten Bahnen zwei abnehmen konnte.
Zweitbester aus Deutschland ist Kevin Konsorr (Lünen / Discgolfer Münsterland), der nur 62 Würfe benötigte. Enttäuschend ist das Ergebnis von Europameister Simon Lizotte der mit eine Sieben startete und zwei Fünfen nachlegte. Mit 64 Würfen ist für den Nachmittag und für Sonntagmorgen Aufholjagd angesagt. 28 Plätze muss der Bremer Discmania-Spieler aufholen, um noch in die Preisgelder zu gelangen.
Der Österreicher Otfried Derschmidt legte eine saubere 60er Runde hin. Gemeinsam mit zwei weiteren belegt der Grazer Rang zwei in der Masters (knapp 600 € Preisgeld).
