Kurs beschnuppern und Waschtag
Stockholm. Noch drei Tage bis zum ersten Tee-Off bei den European Masters 2014 in Stockholm. Gespielt wird auf der im Mai 1995 eröffneten, rund 30 Hektar großen Pay2play-Anlage Järva Discgolf-Park im Osten der schwedischen Hauptstadt. Der Järva Discgolf-Park hat drei Neun-Körbe-Parcours und eine Sechs-Körbe-Putt-and-Approach-Anlage. Zentrum des „Himmels auf Erden“ für europäische Discgolfer ist die Villa Albastro mit Anmeldung, Pro-Shop, Kiosk und Restaurant. Beim European Masters 2014 steht direkt an der Villa Albasrto das Turnierbüro.
Die TDs Tommy Bessner und Jonas Löf haben für die 144 Teilnehmer an den European Masters 2014 auf der herrlichen Anlage einen schwierigen 18-Bahnen-Kurs kreiert, der auch der versammelten Weltspitze alles abverlangen wird. So wurde kurzum die Drivingrange des Discgolf-Parks, direkt an der Villa, zur Bahn eins mit einer Länge von 301 Metern (!) und Par fünf gemacht. Das sind durchaus finnische oder gar amerikanische Verhältnisse.
Am Wochenende reisten schon die ersten Deutschen an. Seit heute ist auch der mitspielende deutsche Nationalspieler und disgolfen.de-Korrespondent Christian Plaue (Birdieproduction Grebenstein) in der schwedischen Hauptstadt:
Nach dem Nerven raubenden Herzschlagfinale unserer Fußballkollegen am Sonntagabend und nur zwei kurzen Stunden Schlaf, standen wir um sechs Uhr am Flughafen. Stress pur, denn den Flug hätten wir fast verpasst, weil schon um 6.45 Uhr Abflug und am Check in die Hölle los war. Naja...
Mietwagen hat gut geklappt und die Fahrt zum Hotel auch. Sämtliche Straßen und Autobahnen sind in Schweden extrem beschissen gebaut und die Abfahrten sehr unübersichtlich. Um 12 Uhr waren wir dann am Kurs. Wahnsinn, was für ein Gelände! Extrem gepflegt und super krasse Bahnen! So etwas gibt es halt nur in Skandinavien.
Vor dem Gang in die Sauna fachsimpelten Christian Plaue und Thomas Kevin Seifert noch in der Hotellobby mit Marian Ludwig und den Berkes, die zum Urlaub in Stockholm sind, über den Kurs, die beneidenswerten Schweden und den Titelgewinn (der Fußballer).
Morgen Vormittag (Dienstag) wird Plauzi den Turnierkurs komplett spielen. Abends, dann mit sicherlich noch mehr Deutschen vor Ort, 
wollen sie noch einen anderen Kurs besichtigen. Wie es war, lest ihr morgen an dieser Stelle.
Vielleicht ist auch dann an Nummer sechs gesetzte Europameister Simon Lizotte dann schon vor Ort. Heute war bei dem europäischen Ausnahmespieler Waschtag angesetzt, wie er mit nebenstehendem Bild bei facebook zeigte.
