Zwei Plätze gut gemacht
Münster / Portland. Simon Lizotte, Discgolfer von GW Marathon Münster, hat bei der Weltmeisterschaft in Portland (USA) zwei Plätze gut gemacht. Der 21-jährige Sportstundent spielte erneut eine 54er Runde und liegt nun vor der sechsten und letzten Vorrunde mit 268 Würfen (35 unter Par) auf dem sechsten Rang. Er geht heute um 19.40 Uhr deutscher Zeit gemeinsam mit den Amerikanern David Feldberg (Ex-Weltmeister), Bradley Williams und Steven Rico auf die Golfstart-Runde. Sein Abstand zum Führenden Richard Wysocki, der gestern Paul Ullibari an der Spitze ablöste, ist allerdings auf zehn Würfe angestiegen, die unter normalen Bedingungen in einer Runde, dem Halbfinale und Finale nicht mehr aufgeholt werden können. Platz drei, den derzeit Titelverteidiger Paul McBeth inne hat, ist aber trotz der fünf Würfe Rückstand noch erreichbar. Bei den Frauen fiel die Schwedin Ragna Bygde (227, -5), amtierende Europameisterin, hinter Paige Pierce (USA) auf Platz drei zurück. Trotz schwacher 61er Runde bleibt die Amerikanerin Catrine Allen (224, -8) mit einem Wurf Vorsprung vorn.
