Disc Golf-Turnier Hanser + Leiber Cup

Am vergangenen Samstag (11. Oktober) ging es spannend zu im Neu-Ulmer Wiley-Park. Auf dem dortigen Disc Golf-Kurs wurde am Wochenende das zweite Disc Golf Turnier ausgerichtet. Der „Hanser + Leiber Cup“ war ein Einsteigerturnier der Deutschland-Tour. Es sollte ganz bewusst neue Spieler aus dem Raum Neu-Ulm für Disc Golf begeistern und zog auch hochklassige Turnierspieler aus Süddeutschland an. Unter Ihnen der Titelverteidiger und Vize-Europameister 2008 Michael Stelzer und der Deutsche Meister 2014 Dominik Stampfer.

Minden. Viele Discgolfer aus Ostwestfalen udn Nidersachsen nutzten das „min+din-doubles“ am 21. September als Test für den „Skyracer Cup“ am 12. Oktober auf Kanzlers Weide in Minden. Trotz des Regens am frühen Morgen kamen alle gemeldeten Teams hoch motiviert auf den Parcours n der Weser.

Heimsieg für TV Fredeburg

WT14: Vierte Vereinserfolg auf heimischen Anlagen

Bad Fredeburg. Der TV Fredeburg ist das dritte Team nach den DG Lünen Lakers und den DiscGolfern Münsterland, die einen Vereinserfolg bei der WestfalenTour feierten. Den Gastgebern gelang dies auf den eigenen Bahnen in Bad Fredeburg, wo sie gleich drei Vereine (DG Lünen Lakers, Discgolf Deutschland  und GW Kley) auf den zweiten Rang verwiesen. Schon zum zweiten Mal zeigten die DiscGolfer Münsterland, dass sie mit Bergen wohl ihre Probleme haben, denn der Zweite in der aktuellen Vereinswertung kam nicht über Platz fünf im Sauerland hinaus.

High Noon mit 26 Teilnehmern

Dortmund. Am Sonntagmittag, High Noon am 13. Juli, luden Josef Rippel und Dirk Haase zu einem Anfängerturnier nach Wischlingen auf die Bahnen im Revierpark ein. "Das Turnier war mit 26 Teilnehmern sehr gut besucht", freuten sich die beiden TDs, die zunächst die erschienen Gäste begrüßten und über den Verlauf der Veranstaltung informierten.

Lünen Lakers bauen Führung aus

In der Vereinswertung der WestfalenTour 2014 bleibt es spannend

 

logo luenen lakersBeckum. Mit dem vierten Vereinssieg beim siebten Turnier der WestfalenTour 2014 bauten die DG Lünen Lakers ihre Führung vor den DiscGolfern Münsterland von GW Marathon Münster wieder aus. Erstmals kamen sieben Vereine in die Punkteränge.

In der Vereinswertung erhält der Siegerverein jeder Klasse zehn Punkte, der Zweite neun Zähler, der Dritte acht und so weiter bis zum Zehnten, der noch einen Punkt gutgeschrieben bekommt.

Halbzeit in der WestfalenTour

Schon 114 Discgolfer starteten bei der ersten Regio-Tour in NRW

Münster. Initiiert durch die DiscGolfer Münsterland führen in diesem Jahr die Discgolfvereine Westfalens eine gemeinsame Turnierserie durch, die am 12. August im Phoenixpark in die zweite Hälfte geht. Schon 114 Discgolfer waren bei den Turnieren - immer am zweiten Samstag im Monat und immer über zwei Mal zwölf Bahnen - in Münster, Lünen, Dortmund, Meinerzhagen, Warendorf und Minden dabei. Bis zum Finale am 13. Dezember in Telgte stehen noch Turniere auf zwei neuen Flächen (im September auf dem Skihang im sauerländischen Bruchhausen und im November zur Allerheiligenkirmes im Stadtpark in Soest) und an vier bekannten Spielstätten (im Juli im Phoenixpark Beckum, im August am Kurpark Bad Fredeburg, im Oktober in der Alten Ziegelei in Lünen und zum Abschluss im Dezember in den Emsauen in Telgte) an.

Großer Discgolf-Tag: Die WestfalenTour trifft Minden beim „MEETING MI“

Minden. Bei bestem Discgolf-Wetter fand am Samstag (14. Juni) das sechste Turnier der WestfalenTour 2014, das „MEETING MI“ statt. Es war bereits das insgesamt vierte Turnier in Minden innerhalb von nur neun Monaten seit Eröffnung des Parcours „Kanzlers Weide DISCGOLF“. Mit 36 Teilnehmern waren die Organisatoren sehr zufrieden, da zur gleichen Zeit ein GT C-Turnier im nicht allzu weit entfernten Bad Fredeburg stattfand, bei dem sehr viele Spieler antraten, die in den letzten Monaten bei der WestfalenTour Stammgäste waren. Stattdessen traten in Minden erfreulicherweise überdurchschnittlich viele Einsteiger an, die bis dato noch nicht bei der WestfalenTour mitspielten.

Münsterland. Nach zwei von fünf Wettbewerben haben die Münsteraner Felix Pascher und Martin Reckmann (beide 124 Punkte) die Führung in der MünsterlandSerie 2012 übernommen. Direkt hinter ihnen lauern Stephan Scharte (123) und Franz Schröer (124). Der erste Nicht-Münsteraner folgt auf Rang fünf. Der Grandmaster Peter Hennecke aus Menden sammelte 111 Punkte.

Telgte. Nach 3144 Würfen, darunter allerdings einige OB-Punkte an der Inselbahn, stand der erste Sieger des Treffens in Telgte fest. Martin Reckmann, Ultimate-Chef bei GW Marathon, spielte als einziger Teilnehmer des ersten Discgolf-Turniers in der westfälischen Wallfahrtstadt an der Ems in beiden Zwölf-Bahnen-Runden unter Par.

Ed Headrick, damals einer der führenden Köpfe des Scheibenherstellers Wham-O, gründete Ende der 70er-Jahre des vergangenen Jahrhunderts erst die Discgolf Association und später auch die bis heute tätige PDGA  (Professional Disc Golf Association). Sie ist insbesondere für das Regelwerk, das internationale Rating der Spieler und die weltweiten Top-Turniere zuständig.

In Deutschland organisiert die Discgolf-Abteilung im Deutschen Frisbeesport-Verband (DFV) den Sport. Abteilungsleiter ist Werner Szybalski und Sportdirektor Wolfgang Kraus.

Viele wichtige Turniere in Deutschland gehören zur GermanTour der Discgolf-Abteilung im DFV. 2015 soll diese Tour zweigeteilt werden, so dass es eine Basis-Tour (Challange) und eine aus fünf Turnieren bestehende Major-GermanTour geben wird. Die Sieger der Tour stehen am 31. Oktober eines Jahres fest.

Jedes Jahr findet eine Deutsche Meisterschaft statt. 2014 werden vom 3. bis 5. Oktober in Rüsselsheim (Hessen) die neuen Titelträger ausgespielt.
