"England wir kommen"
EM-Vorbereitung am Weserufer
Bremen. Das jüngst durch den amtierenden Deutschen Meister und Vizeeuropameister Simon Lizotte erweiterte Team der DiscGolfer Münsterland versammelte sich eine Woche vor dem Start der Europameisterschaft im englischen Colchester zur Vorbereitung auf das Saisonhighlight am Bremer Weserufer. Gemeinsam wollen Simon Lizotte, der 19-Jährige tritt in der Open-Division an, und die drei Juniorenspieler Sven Rippel, amtierender Deutscher Juniorenmeister, Junioren-GermanTour-Sieger und Vizeeuropameister, Kevin Konsorr, aktuell Führender in der GermanTour der Junioren und in seiner Klasse noch ungeschlagen, und Marvin Hartmann die DiscGolfer Münsterland und deren Heimatstadt würdig vertreten. "England wir kommen" hallte es selbstbewusst vom Parcours an der Weser über den Kanal.
In England hat Simon Lizotte, der am kommenden Mittwoch im ersten Flight auf die Runde geht, auf jeden Fall Chancen für eine Topplatzierung. "Es ist für mich nicht von Nachteil, schon so früh zu starten. Ich mag es eigentlich sogar", erklärte der Mitfavorit, der sicherlich sofort eine der Bestmarken setzen wird.
Für Sven Rippel steht der Gewinn der Europameisterschaft auf der Agenda. Der Dutch-Open-Sieger 2012 und King of the Big Hill im Allgäu ist vom Rating betrachtet der absolute Topfavorit. "Abwarten, wer aus Finnland noch kommt. Da könnte noch eine Überraschung drin sein", macht der Schüler aus Bergkamen unmissverständlich klar, dass es sicherlich auf dem Uni-Campus kein Selbstläufer werden wird: "Es muss alles passen, damit sich auch der erwünschte Erfolg einstellt." Sein aktuell größter Konkurrent ist sein Trainingspartner Kevin Konsorr. Der Lünener im Team der DiscGolfer Münsterland hat bei seiner ersten EM-Teilnahme vermutlich letztmalig die Chance, eine Juniorenmedaille zu gewinnen. "Am liebsten Platz eins", zeigt sich Kevin Konsorr selbstbewusst, um schmunzelnd nachzuschieben: "Aber das wollen - glaube ich - ein paar mehr Spieler!"
Für den verletzt ausfallenden Altmeister Hartmut Hartl Wahrmann rutschte Marvin Hartmann ins DGM-Team für Colchester. Der erst im Frühsommer vom Ultimate ins Lager der Münsteraner DiscGolfer gewechselte Realschüler aus dem Kreuzviertel ist in Colchester völlig ohne Druck am Start. "Er soll einfach nur spielen und seine hoffnungsvoll begonnene Karriere fortsetzen", unterstrich DGM-Teamchef Werner Szybalski, der erfreut den Kommentar des Teamstars Simon Lizotte zu Kenntnis nahm. "Marvin ist echt gut ... Er braucht nur ein bisschen Übung."
"England wir kommen!" gilt aber auch für alle anderen Deutschen Spieler. Sicherlich haben auch Dominik Stampfer, Teamchef Christian Plaue (beide Open), Christine Hellstern, Wolfgang Kraus, Ewald und Max Tkocz sowie Frank Buchholz sehr gute Chancen auf Medaillen in England.
