Neunte Discgolf-Europameisterschaft

Schweiz.Vom 20. bis 23. August finden in der Schweiz die neunten Europameisterschaften im Discgolf statt. 200 Sportler, davon 94 in der Open, aus 23 Ländern kämpfen in Genf um die europäische Krone. Drei Mal gewannen Deutsche bislang den Titel. Als Erster siegte 2003 Viro Schneider in der Division Grandmaster (50+) in Großbritannien. Die Insel scheint ein gutes Pflaster für Deutsche zu sein, denn 2012 brachten Simon Lizotte (Open) und Sven Rippel (Junioren) den Euro-Titel aus Colchester mit. Klaus Kattwinkel wurde 2007 Vize-Europameister und Michi Stelzer sicherte sich 2008 den Vizemeister-Titel, als die Europameisterschaft in seinem Heimatort Söhnstetten ausgetragen wurde.
